A COSPLAY CONVENTION LIKE NONE BEFORE AT “FANTASY QUEST” IN FERNBROOK GARDENS

(July 21, 2011) Quezon City, Philippines – Two prominent groups in the Philippine cosplay scene, Cosplay Network Philippines and Anime Alliance Philippines, will be holding a “cosplay event that people won’t ever forget”. Dubbed “Fantasy Quest”, the event will be held on July 23, 2011 at Fernbrook Gardens.
Fantasy Quest promises to be a breathtaking event for cosplayers and guests alike, with the event being held at the enchanting Fernbrook Gardens, a Victorian-themed wedding venue located in Porto Fino, New Alabang. In attendance will be some of the Philippines’ finest cosplayers such as Jin Joson, as well as two of Thailand’s best cosplayers, Yuegene Fay (Thailand’s representative to the World Cosplay Summit for 2007 and 2009) and Yolkler (Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Cosplay Ambassador for 2010), who will be sharing their knowledge to the attendees in a workshop for cosplayers.
A number of Japanese pop and rock groups will be playing in the afternoon, among which is Novus Luna who provided music to the 2010 movie RPG Metanoia. Following this is one of the highlights of the day which is the open cosplay pageant where attendees will strut their stuff on the catwalk in their best costumes. Capping off the day’s events is a once-in-a-lifetime cosplay ball, where cosplayers and guests alike can mingle and socialize in a Victorian-themed ballroom while listening to their favorite songs being played on stage.
